Each morning I start my day with warm water and lemon. It's the first thing I do when I go downstairs, followed by a workout and then I refuel with my cottage cheese bowl topped with Haley's Pantry granola. Whether warm water with lemon does anything for you is a controversial issue, so it's a personal choice. I do love the taste of it. I wouldn't chug a glass of plain water so early in the morning, but that's just me. Water is a critical nutrient, and lemon is an excellent source of vitamin C. It's hydrating, may support skin health, and aid digestion, and some say it could prevent kidney stones. I drink a glass to wash down my vitamins and have been doing it for years. Just be careful not to do it with the lemon over. Too much may lead to teeth erosion over time, so be mindful. Drinking the water through a straw could help.
