It's 2024 New Year New You

It's 2024: Fill Your Life with Purpose, Passion, and Endless Possibilities

Many people set New Year's resolutions but need help sticking to them. I never make resolutions; instead, I think about realistic health and wellness goals that will bring me more joy and make me feel better physically and mentally. I implement three new healthy habits every year into my daily routine to help me feel stronger. I love a good challenge, but it has to be achievable, so I pick intelligent goals that are meaningful to me. I often start with baby steps that are more tangible as they give me a sense of direction and provide me with the motivation I need to gain personal growth. By starting small, I know my goal is more manageable, and I will feel less stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. Having a good plan in writing is the best way to start. It helps clarify what I want to achieve and what steps I need to take to get there. Writing things down also makes it easier to stay focused as it is more efficient and will give you the best chance of success. I often look for obstacles that could come my way and adjust accordingly.

This year, I plan to focus on getting more sleep, which means going to bed earlier and building better bedtime routines. Sleep is crucial for brain function, mood, memory, and overall performance. I also plan to read more, especially before bed. I used to read every night, but since I started my business, I have been reading less. One of my goals is to put away my electronics at least a half hour before bed so I can read a few pages from my book each night. I am also going to meditate more. I used to do it all the time, but now I only find myself doing it when I travel. Meditating calms me down and prepares me for a restful sleep. There are so many other habits that I would like to implement, but I'll take it one step at a time. Incorporating one new practice into your life can improve opportunities to help you grow, thrive, and feel more balanced. Change allows us to move forward.
