To Juice Or Not to Juice? That Is The Question...
Juicing:
To juice or not to juice? That is a question that many people ask themselves. There are so many opinions about juicing; we may not all agree, but I love it! I knew I couldn't go wholly raw when I began my health journey, so I incorporated juicing into my diet. It was the next best thing for me as it is a speedy way to get nutrients into your body. I have been making fresh green juice every day, and let me tell you, I feel great! I usually drink it later in the day as it keeps me full and ties me to dinner. Be mindful about what you put into your juice, as some fruits and vegetables can be calorie-dense and high in sugar. Juicing is an excellent way to get the nutrients you need and help lower the risk of certain diseases, but it does take out the fiber, so ensure you are still consuming fruits and veggies throughout the day. Juice should not replace what you eat; it should be an addition to your diet. If you want the fiber, you can mix the juiced pulp in a blender. Your juice will not be smooth, but it will be super healthy.
You can put so many different fruits and vegetables in your juice. I only like greens, but I always add lemon and sometimes ginger for that extra zing. I never add fruit as it has too much sugar for me. Drinking greens in their liquefied form is sometimes more accessible for the body to absorb, but it could be hard on people with sensitive stomachs. Juicing provides an array of vitamins and minerals while improving digestion and keeping the body regular. It's a great way to get your veggies down if you need more time for a meal. P.S. Did you know that a single celery stick is called a rib?
