Caramelized Apple Yogurt Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 organic honeycrisp apple (or your favourite red or green apple)

  • 2 tbsp water or lemon juice

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • 2 drops vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar

  • ¾ cup Greek yogurt (organic, full-fat recommended)

  • 1 tsp natural peanut butter

  • A handful of Haley’s Pantry Peanut Butter Granola

  • A sprinkle of dark chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Chop the apple into bite-sized pieces.

  2. In a small saucepan over high heat, add apples, water or lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla, and coconut sugar.

  3. Stir continuously for about 3–4 minutes, until the apples begin to brown and caramelize.

  4. Remove from heat and let the apples cool slightly.

  5. In a bowl, add Greek yogurt and swirl in the natural peanut butter.

  6. Top with the caramelized apples, a handful of Haley’s Pantry Peanut Butter Granola, and a sprinkle of dark chocolate chips.

  7. Drizzle any leftover caramel sauce from the pan over the top.
