Gluten-Free Granola Apple Crisp

There’s nothing like the warm, comforting taste of homemade apple crisp to welcome the fall season. Living in Canada, apple crisp has always been one of my favorite desserts, especially after a day of apple picking—a tradition I’ve loved since childhood. Creating new and fun desserts from freshly picked apples has always been an adventure. This granola apple crisp is one of my go-to recipes because it’s so simple and versatile. The topping is crispy and crunchy thanks to the granola, and the best part? It’s quick and easy, ready in just 30 minutes. You can even enjoy it for breakfast on a cozy morning—it’s that good!

Ingredients:

6 apples

2 tsp lemon juice

12 tbsp grass-fed butter

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg1/4 tsp sea salt

1/4 gluten-free flour

1/4 cup date sugar or coconut sugar

1 cup Haley's Pantry original granola

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350. Next, peel the apples, slice them and place them in the baking dish. Add the lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt—mix to cover all the apples. In a separate bowl for the topping, combine the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, gluten-free flour, and butter. Mix until it is crumbly. Spread evenly on top. Bake for 30 minutes until golden. Take the apple crisp out after 30 minutes and cover the entire surface with Haley's Pantry OG granola. Return the apple crisp to the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, and enjoy all Fall flavours.
